Star Card
Digital Personal Card with Smart QR Sharing
Star Card is my Astro JS template for building simple, static personal pages that act as digital business cards—no need to carry a physical one anymore. Just pull up the page on your phone or desktop, and share contacts or links effortlessly. Host it for free on GitHub Pages or anywhere static sites live.
What sets it apart from tools like Linktree: Instead of dumping all your links at once, each social, contact, or custom link gets its own on-demand QR code. Tap an item, and a full-screen QR pops up—perfect for the other person to scan with their phone. It opens directly in the right app (e.g., YouTube for subscribing to a channel), keeping things private and targeted. No more oversharing everything!

Why I built it: People often want to exchange just one specific contact or link in conversations, not their whole profile. This makes it quick, error-free, and app-native, all while being mobile-optimized and super lightweight.
Key features:
- Easy setup: Edit a simple config file for your name, bio, sections (socials, contacts, etc.), and icons—no heavy coding required.
- QR code per link: Auto-generated, responsive, with vCard support for full contact imports.
- Customizable: Tailwind CSS for styling (colors, fonts, layouts), SEO-ready meta tags, and orderable sections.
- Performance: Built on Astro for instant loading (<100ms), zero JS by default, and perfect Lighthouse scores.
- Demo at https://starcard.alexandr.studio/ and source on GitHub—clone and customize!
Future plans: Add more themes, icon options, and perhaps multi-profile support for teams.
If this solves a pain point for you, try it out and share your thoughts—I'm open to contributions!
